0:00 good afternoon 0:02 everybody thank you so much for coming 0:05 this is our second official influencer 0:08 briefing here at the White House in the 0:10 beautiful South Court auditorium and as 0:12 you can tell in the White House we are 0:14 fully embracing new media trust in the 0:17 mass media has fallen to record lows 0:20 tens of millions of Americans are 0:21 turning elsewhere to get their news and 0:24 their information that’s why we’ve 0:26 welcomed in openly independent 0:28 journalists podcasters social media 0:30 influencers content creators and we will 0:33 continue to do so president Trump and 0:36 our White House also believe strongly in 0:38 the First Amendment which is why our 0:40 team has restored the press passes of 0:41 hundreds of journalists whose passes 0:44 were wrongly revoked by the Biden 0:46 administration so thank you all so much 0:48 for coming today for your interest in 0:50 covering the historic achievements of 0:52 President Trump’s first 100 days and 0:54 today officially marks a 100 days of 0:57 promises made and kept by President 0:59 Trump our primary focus is how President 1:02 Trump is in the process of rebuilding 1:04 the war world’s greatest economy just 1:07 like he did in his first term president 1:09 Trump has created 1:12 345,000 jobs since taking office in 1:15 January last month’s job report we saw 1:18 100,000 more jobs than economists 1:20 predicted it was the fourth highest 1:22 month for private payroll growth in the 1:24 past two years 9,000 manufacturing jobs 1:28 have been created and added to the 1:29 economy already since January and that’s 1:32 in comparison to the 6,000 manufacturing 1:34 jobs that were lost per month in the 1:37 final two years of the Biden 1:38 administration so each month we were 1:41 losing 6,000 manufacturing jobs under 1:43 President Trump in just a 100 days we’ve 1:45 added 9,000 uh the US unemployment rate 1:48 remains at historic lows the labor force 1:51 participation rate for those without a 1:53 high school diploma is up good news for 1:55 workingclass American families and the 1:58 veteran unemployment rate is down as 2:00 well uh to 3.8% in March when it we came 2:04 into office it was 4.2% 2:06 remote work among federal employees has 2:08 fallen over 16 percentage points from 2:11 March last year to March this year 2:13 showcasing the success of President 2:15 Trump’s initiative to bring federal 2:18 workers back to the office we know 2:21 middle-class Americans hardworking 2:22 people they have to show up to the 2:24 office every day we expect bureaucrats 2:26 and government workers to do the same 2:28 especially when they are living off of 2:29 the taxpayers’s dime if you want to work 2:32 on behalf of the American taxpayer you 2:34 should show up to work in person thanks 2:36 to President Trump Americans are seeing 2:38 the first price relief in years the last 2:40 inflation report showed the first 2:42 consumer price decline in years a 2:44 decrease in energy prices and real 2:46 average hourly wage growth president 2:48 Trump is delivering on his promises to 2:50 lower costs for American families and 2:52 businesses prescription drug prices are 2:54 down last month’s drop in prescription 2:56 drugs prices was the largest ever 2:58 recorded and thanks to President Trump 3:00 ending Joe Biden’s reckless war on 3:02 American energy gasoline prices and 3:05 energy prices are down as well the cost 3:07 of wholesale eggs has decreased more 3:09 than 50% the B uh the President Trump 3:13 inherited a complete mess from the Biden 3:16 administration who totally botched their 3:18 response to the bird flu they were 3:20 killing chickens they were killing our 3:22 chicken supply in this country which led 3:23 to an increase in egg prices and the 3:26 president and secretary Rollins did an 3:28 incredible job attacking that on day one 3:31 on the deregulation deregulation front 3:34 President Trump is launching the largest 3:36 deregulation campaign in American 3:37 history he has blocked all of the 3:40 unfinalized Biden era rules which has 3:42 saved us more than $180 billion already 3:46 he’s launched a bold multi- agency 3:49 effort to roll back existing federal 3:51 regulations that drive up the cost of 3:53 living on hardworking families that has 3:55 yielded more than 70 755 billion in 3:59 total savings as well and as you all 4:01 know investments from companies around 4:03 the world continue to pour into this 4:06 country every morning we wake up to a 4:08 new headline with a new company from a 4:10 different country announcing major 4:12 investments in our country what does 4:15 that mean for people in your communities 4:17 across the the nation it means jobs it 4:20 means Americans going to work it means 4:22 Americans providing for their families 4:24 for their childrens living living the 4:26 American dream and that’s what those 4:28 investments will do it’s truly the 4:30 golden age of America and that’s why the 4:33 president is working so hard to leverage 4:36 good trade deals around the world he 4:37 knows America is the best place in the 4:39 world to do business he is using our 4:42 leverage um to negotiate good deals with 4:44 countries around the world to onshore 4:46 manufacturing jobs here to revitalize 4:49 our middle class and our manufacturing 4:51 industry and also to protect our 4:53 national security i don’t think any 4:55 American agrees it’s good that China 4:58 currently um supplies and produces our 5:00 chips our pharmaceuticals and our 5:02 critical industries we want the United 5:04 those things built in the United States 5:06 of America and President Trump is the 5:08 first president in modern times to 5:10 actually do something about that so with 5:13 that said today is 100 days there have 5:16 been so many achievements not just on 5:17 the economic front uh and the president 5:20 continues to work very hard on tax cuts 5:22 as well um and on negotiating those 5:25 trade deals but look at the success at 5:26 the southern border which we talked a 5:28 lot about yesterday with our borders are 5:30 Tom Hman Secretary Christy Nome uh 5:33 Steven Miller here at the White House 5:34 all of whom are doing a tremendous job 5:36 and have created at the president’s 5:38 direction the most secure border in 5:40 American history we have a mass 5:42 deportation campaign of illegal aliens 5:44 underway we are removing heinous 5:46 criminals from your communities across 5:48 the country every single day we are 5:50 making America safe again and if you 5:52 look abroad on the world stage the 5:54 president is really using his peace 5:56 through strength foreign policy approach 5:58 once again um to the rest of the world 6:00 knows that America is back i know Joe 6:02 Biden used to say that but we’re 6:04 stealing it from him because it’s 6:05 actually true now with President Trump 6:08 in the Oval Office the world is a safer 6:10 place and will continue to be so thanks 6:12 for coming to the influencer briefing i 6:14 look forward to taking your questions 6:15 and Deborah why don’t you kick us off so 6:17 congratulations on 100 incredible days 6:19 and over the first 100 days the majority 6:21 of policies that we’ve seen from the 6:23 Trump administration have been either 6:24 targeted at foreign affairs such as 6:26 bringing the American hostages home or 6:28 attempting to end the war between 6:29 Ukraine and Russia or in long-term goals 6:32 such as cover cutting government 6:33 spending with Doge what policies can we 6:35 expect to see rolled out over the next 6:37 few months that Americans will directly 6:39 feel the effects of in order to secure 6:40 the 2026 midterms for the Republican 6:43 party and keep his approval rating 6:44 historically high yeah the first answer 6:46 that comes to mind Deborah is definitely 6:48 tax cuts the president is working 6:50 closely with Congress as we speak he met 6:52 with leadership from both chambers the 6:54 administration met with leadership from 6:55 both chambers yesterday to talk about 6:58 how we can quickly pass the largest tax 7:00 cuts in American history and the 7:02 president promised on the campaign trail 7:04 he wanted no tax on tips no tax on 7:06 social security for our hardworking 7:08 seniors no tax on overtime pay he 7:11 intends to keep those promises and he 7:13 needs Congress’s help to do so that’s 7:14 why he’s working closely with them but 7:16 you look at again I talked about the 7:18 leverage the president uses to negotiate 7:20 good trade deals around the world but he 7:22 uses that leverage right here in 7:24 Washington as well on Capitol Hill he 7:26 has great relationships with leaders on 7:28 both chambers um and we are confident 7:30 that we can pass a massive tax bill 7:33 which will directly lead to more money 7:35 in people’s pockets right away sure go 7:38 ahead yeah so the president has really 7:41 wanted to end the war in Ukraine for a 7:44 long time now and has been working on 7:45 that in the first hundred days we’ve 7:47 seen um President Zalinski come here as 7:50 well as the president meeting with 7:51 President Zalinski uh just in the last 7:53 couple of days i’m wondering where those 7:55 talks stand and if the president is 7:57 optimistic that that that conflict is 7:59 going to wrap up shortly the president 8:01 is optimistic yet realistic about the 8:05 incredibly complicated and unfortunate 8:07 situation happening uh with Ukraine and 8:11 Russia first of all this is Biden’s war 8:14 it would have never started if President 8:15 Trump were in office u there is a reason 8:19 that Putin um did not invade Ukraine 8:22 when President Trump was in the oval 8:23 office and it’s because again pres 8:25 President Trump leveraged the the power 8:27 of the United States to warn Putin not 8:29 to do it and the president has spoken 8:31 about that in those direct warnings to 8:33 the Kremlin that he gave in his first 8:35 term then we had a mentally incompetent 8:37 president in Joe Biden who didn’t even 8:39 know what day it is never mind knew how 8:41 to prevent war and the entire world took 8:44 advantage of that and took advantage of 8:47 America’s lackluster leadership abroad 8:49 and so we’ve had this this terrible war 8:52 the president talks about it all the 8:54 time he’s briefed on it constantly there 8:56 are men dying on the front lines of this 8:58 an entire generation is being wiped out 9:01 and enough is enough the president has 9:04 made it very clear he wants to see this 9:05 end at the negotiating table not on the 9:08 battlefield he has spoken directly to 9:10 both sides of this war he most recently 9:12 met with President Zalinsky at the 9:14 Vatican when he attended the funeral of 9:16 Pope Francis and he remains optimistic 9:20 that both sides will come together to 9:21 negotiate peace there are a lot of 9:23 complexities on both sides of this war 9:25 but um and he so he’s realistic about 9:28 that but he is optimistic that we are 9:30 moving in the right direction and if you 9:32 just take a step back and look at where 9:33 we are now where you have concessions 9:36 from both sides publicly where you have 9:38 ceasefire proposals from both sides 9:40 president’s made it clear he wants a 9:42 permanent ceasefire first but you 9:44 actually have the United States talking 9:45 to Russia you have the United States 9:47 talking to the Ukrainians on a daily 9:49 basis communicating with both sides look 9:51 at that compared to where we were when 9:54 we came into office where neither side 9:56 was talking there was just one approach 9:59 to ending this war no one was really 10:01 talking about and peace deal we were 10:03 just talking about continuing to send 10:05 blank checks um to continue funding the 10:08 fighting and the killing this war has 10:09 been a meat grinder young men are dying 10:12 women and children are dying as a 10:14 collateral result of the military 10:16 conflict and the president wants to see 10:17 it end as quickly and soon as possible 10:20 and I can tell you watching firsthand he 10:22 has exuded a tremendous amount of effort 10:25 um into this war he’s getting frustrated 10:28 with the amount of effort this has taken 10:29 and he’s made that clear to both sides 10:31 but he remains optimistic that we can 10:33 get this done brendan um I was wondering 10:36 if you’d indulge me in a quick uh round 10:38 of Trump trolling or Trump truthing sure 10:40 let’s do it okay good rapid fire 10:42 greenland joining America uh definitely 10:45 Trump truthing 10:47 canada becoming a 51st state trump 10:49 truthing all the way and the Canadians 10:52 would benefit greatly let me tell you 10:53 that eliminating the IRS uh I think that 10:57 is an optimistic goal and the president 11:01 so I would say we’re on the side of 11:03 truth thing there for sure and the 11:05 president again wants to see tax cuts 11:06 and he wants to see this massive revenue 11:08 that we can gain from tariffs as well 11:10 which will create the external revenue 11:13 service so that’s a definitive goal for 11:15 sure and most importantly Trump 2028 11:20 trump trolling although the hats are 11:22 flying off the shelves 11:25 yes Link go ahead so one thing I’ve 11:28 noticed in the first 100 days is that 11:29 the White House is crawling with kids 11:32 you have a young beautiful baby boy 11:34 there are babies everywhere there’s so 11:35 many young folks on staff who have kids 11:37 but the last four years under Joe Biden 11:39 parents were really stressed and ravaged 11:41 they had to take on two or three extra 11:42 jobs depression rates were up suicide 11:45 rates were up you’re a very high-profile 11:47 young mother who seems to juggle and 11:49 balance it all beautifully what advice 11:51 do you have to young parents out there 11:52 who are starting their careers having 11:54 kids building families and trying to 11:56 find that balance so desperately yeah 11:58 well it’s a great question and first to 12:00 the heart of your premise it’s true the 12:02 president has empowered not just me as a 12:04 young mother in this role but there are 12:06 so many new moms and dads on our senior 12:10 staff in the West Wing but also across 12:12 the entire administration there are 12:14 working moms and dads who um are uh 12:18 owing the our country public service for 12:21 President Trump while raising young 12:23 families and the president really 12:25 empowers us to do that and I commend him 12:26 for that he doesn’t get enough credit 12:28 for it but as for the president is 12:31 implementing policies every day to 12:32 uplift young families and young people 12:35 he talked so much about young people and 12:37 talked directly to young people so much 12:39 on the campaign trail it really I think 12:41 inspires him when he u is around young 12:43 people in a young audience and he wants 12:46 to restore the American dream for the 12:48 next generation not just our generation 12:50 of young folks but our children and our 12:53 grandchildren what does that look like 12:55 home ownership the ability to afford a 12:58 home to live and to have a good paying 13:00 job that’s part of this effort to 13:02 onshore jobs because you have an entire 13:05 generation going to these uh incredibly 13:08 expensive and liberal higher education 13:10 universities coming out saddled with 13:13 debt and then unable to get a good 13:14 paying job the president wants to put an 13:16 end to that so that young people can 13:18 provide for their families and truly 13:20 live the American dream so to young 13:22 people around the country the president 13:24 hears you he sees you he loves you and 13:26 he wants to uplift you and all of the 13:28 policies he’s implementing every day are 13:30 to provide a more prosperous and safe uh 13:33 and free America for future generations 13:36 you’re welcome sure 13:39 nice to meet you thank you so much for 13:41 the time um tacking off of Link’s 13:43 question about young people one of the 13:45 most pressing challenges for Gen Z right 13:47 now is the lack of home ownership as of 13:49 2025 believe is the median age is 38 13:52 years old of first-time home buyers 13:54 which is you know a hindrance to 13:55 starting families for a lot of people 13:57 how does the Trump administration plan 13:58 on tackling this in the next four years 14:01 it’s a major issue as you mentioned 14:03 that’s directly impacting young people 14:05 and young families and the president is 14:08 I think tackling it headon already the 14:10 reason that homes have become so 14:13 unaffordable is because of the massive 14:15 inflation crisis caused by the previous 14:17 administration not just the cost of a 14:19 home but everything that goes into 14:21 building a new home went up and through 14:22 the roof right we also saw mortgage 14:24 rates reach incredible highs under the 14:27 previous administration so a few things 14:29 the president wants to bring down the 14:31 cost of living which he is already doing 14:32 as I mentioned in my opening remarks 14:34 which will um increase our supply of 14:37 homes across the country but he also 14:39 wants to bring down mortgage rates and 14:40 interest rates to make it easier for 14:42 young people and all people to borrow 14:45 money to take out those loans to buy 14:47 your first home and so we got to 14:49 increase the supply bring down costs and 14:51 bring down interest rates and mortgage 14:52 rates and by the way those are all 14:54 things the president successfully did in 14:56 his first term when he left office 14:58 inflation was a record low 1.4% interest 15:02 rates mortgage rates also hit record 15:04 lows in his first term so this is a 15:06 proven economic formula that works it 15:09 takes time to get there we are in the 15:11 process of the golden age the president 15:13 and the admin are slashing regulation 15:15 every day cutting red tape cutting costs 15:18 um and we need again Congress to pass 15:20 those tax cuts to put more money back in 15:22 people’s pockets so they have greater 15:24 purchasing power as well you’re welcome 15:26 sure hey Teresa with Independent Women 15:28 and W oh great we love uh working with 15:32 the administration to really tout 15:33 policies that work for families and work 15:35 for small businesses in this country 15:37 next week is small business week and I 15:38 know that the SBA will be you know 15:40 championing all the small businesses the 15:42 millions in this country almost half of 15:44 which are womenowned um but I’d love to 15:46 find out what the president feels about 15:48 independent contractors who are not 15:50 typical W2 employees not nineto-ive 15:53 workers but who hang their own shingle 15:55 you know they’re 1099 workers we saw the 15:57 Biden administration really try to crack 15:59 down on that small business 16:01 entrepreneurial spirit and we’re hopeful 16:03 that the administration would overturn 16:05 what the Biden administration did and 16:07 maybe even work with Congress to pass 16:08 some lasting changes codify some lasting 16:11 changes that would protect you know your 16:13 ability to be self-employed your ability 16:14 to be a small business owner well the 16:16 president is a businessman at heart 16:18 himself right he’s a a real estate 16:20 developer and I think that’s a large 16:23 reason the American people elected him 16:25 the first time and the second time 16:27 because they trust in him and small 16:30 businesses are the backbone of our 16:32 American economy i come from a small 16:34 business family myself um and the 16:36 president knows what small business 16:38 families need and independent 16:39 contractors need entrepreneurs need you 16:41 need less government in the way you need 16:42 less regulation you need low energy 16:45 costs low taxes a low cost of living a 16:48 low cost of goods and that’s exactly 16:49 what the president is focused on doing 16:51 while simultaneously effectively 16:54 leveraging tariffs to protect our middle 16:56 class and our working class and our 16:58 manufacturing base you look at our auto 17:01 industry think about Michigan it used to 17:02 be the the the heartland of the auto 17:05 industry of the world it was the auto 17:07 capital of the world and unfortunately 17:09 so many of those jobs have gone overseas 17:12 and so the president wants to protect 17:14 good paying jobs here at home and 17:16 unleash the might of our economy for 17:18 small business owners and that removes 17:20 uh that includes removing red tape and 17:22 cutting taxes um and as for independent 17:26 contractors and what the president would 17:27 hope to do with Congress we’ll 17:29 definitely check back in on that um and 17:30 get you an answer because it’s an 17:32 important question welcome sure hi Will 17:35 the National Pulse um you kind of gave 17:37 us an overview of of negotiations 17:39 between Ukraine and Russia 100 days in 17:41 what would the next steps look like 17:43 though if we don’t reach an agreement by 17:44 say this summer and also can you give us 17:46 an update on the rare earth minerals 17:48 deal with Ukraine and is there any kind 17:50 of response from the administration to 17:51 Greenlandic uh foreign minister uh 17:54 Vivian Mozfeld um some her comments 17:56 about maybe seeking aid with China sure 17:59 uh to your first question about the 18:01 critical minerals deal the president is 18:03 confident that will sign that will be 18:04 signed ukraine needs to sign it they 18:06 should sign it uh it’s not just good for 18:08 the United States to recoup the billions 18:10 of tax dollars we’ve spent and onshore 18:13 some of those critical minerals but 18:15 certainly it’s good for the Ukrainian 18:16 people when this war is over to rebuild 18:18 their country it’s an economic 18:20 partnership between the United States 18:22 and Ukraine that’s what the president 18:23 envisions and he wants Ukraine to sign 18:25 that deal he’s confident that they will 18:27 as for what it would look like later 18:28 down the road I don’t want to get ahead 18:30 of the president obviously but again I 18:33 will reiterate he’s increasingly grown 18:35 frustrated um in in the amount of time 18:38 you our secretary of state uh recently 18:40 said you know there’s not much more time 18:42 or effort the United States has to give 18:44 um to this effort and so we need both 18:46 sides to come to the table to negotiate 18:49 as for Greenland it’s I hadn’t seen 18:51 those comments um if true I’m sure they 18:53 are certainly an interesting strategy to 18:55 cozy up to communist China greenland 18:57 needs the United States of America we 18:59 subsidize their national security and 19:01 their defense um and the president has 19:03 rightfully pointed out the great 19:05 strategic importance that Greenland 19:07 serves for not just our national 19:09 security and economic interests but for 19:11 our country and for the world as a whole 19:13 we can’t allow Chinese or Russian 19:15 influence to um continue to infiltrate 19:19 uh places like Greenland or the Panama 19:21 Canal i may add into the back can you 19:24 talk about the importance of a stock 19:25 market all-time high specifically in 19:28 relation to the midterms and seems like 19:30 a lot of folks uh when Trump was elected 19:32 they thought that stock market goes up 19:34 he really cares about that he uses it as 19:36 a measurement of the economy it’s gone 19:38 down but still up you know over the last 19:39 12 months or so so how much of that is 19:41 playing into some of the economic policy 19:42 decisions i think the president has 19:44 spoken on this he said the stock market 19:47 gets yepy but he doesn’t get yepy he 19:49 trusts in his economic agenda and 19:51 formula obviously and you know Wall 19:54 Street made out very well in President 19:56 Trump’s first term president Trump also 19:57 wants to look out for Main Street and do 20:00 what’s best for both so I think the 20:02 president right now his main focus what 20:05 drives him to make decisions is what’s 20:06 best for the workingclass Americans for 20:09 the American worker for the small 20:11 business owner for American families and 20:13 he’s trying to correct the wrongs of the 20:16 last several decades not just the last 20:18 four years with the economic and 20:20 inflation nightmare caused by the Biden 20:22 administration but of the unfair trade 20:24 practices that have ripped off our 20:25 country for a very long time so look the 20:27 stock market goes up it goes down but 20:29 President Trump has a goal he has a 20:31 vision and he’s remaining very much 20:33 committed to that so thank you so much 20:36 everybody for joining today we’re 20:37 heading off to Michigan tonight for a 20:39 big rally so I am sure we’ll see all of 20:42 your amazing creative content uh on 20:45 social media later it’s going to be a 20:47 great speech and maybe you’ll get a 20:49 Trump dance too so um thank you so much 20:51 for coming today it’s a pleasure to have 20:52 you here thank you
