0:00
afternoon everybody
0:03
how you doing thank you for coming today
0:06
it’s great to be with you this is our
0:08
first official influencer briefing here
0:11
at the White House i want to thank you
0:12
all so much for joining us on what is
0:15
day 99 of the Trump administration and
0:18
as I promised as my first briefing as
0:20
press secretary back in January the
0:23
Trump White House will speak to all
0:25
media outlets and personalities not just
0:27
the legacy media who traditionally has
0:30
covered this institution tens of
0:33
millions of Americans are now turning to
0:35
social media and independent media
0:37
outlets to consume their news and we are
0:39
embracing that change not ignoring it
0:42
it’s well past time that the White House
0:43
press operation reflected the media
0:45
habits of the American people in 19 in
0:49
2025 and not 1925 and thanks to
0:52
President Trump a select group of
0:54
DCbased journalists no longer have a
0:57
monopoly over press access here at the
0:59
White House all journalists outlets and
1:02
voices have a seat at the table now and
1:04
you being here today for this briefing
1:06
uh proves that today officially marks
1:09
the 99th day of promises made and kept
1:11
by President Trump our primary focus
1:14
today is how President Trump has
1:15
fulfilled one of his central campaign
1:18
promises to the American people in
1:19
record time ending the massive illegal
1:22
invasion and securing our nation’s
1:25
southern and northern borders as we know
1:28
Joe Biden allowed millions of criminal
1:30
illegal aliens to pour into our country
1:32
over the past four years and as we all
1:35
know a significant number of those
1:36
aliens have been vicious gang members
1:39
murderers rapists and pedophiles
1:41
innocent Americans like Lake and Riley
1:43
Jocelyn Nungre Rachel Morren and many
1:46
others are have been murdered because of
1:48
Joe Biden’s open border president Trump
1:51
made a promise to the American people to
1:53
all of you and your audiences to end the
1:55
carnage and keep our country safe and he
1:58
has overwhelmingly delivered on that
2:00
promise he immediately declared a
2:02
national emergency on the southern
2:03
border deployed the US military and
2:05
border patrol to repel the invasion and
2:08
ended reckless catch or new release
2:10
policies and as a result between the
2:12
inauguration and April 1st of this month
2:15
only nine illegal aliens were released
2:18
into the United States of America this
2:20
is a n staggering
2:23
99.99% decrease from more than the
2:26
184,000 illegal aliens who were released
2:29
into the country under Joe Biden during
2:31
that same period last year you can’t get
2:33
much better than
2:35
99.99% decrease total attempted illegal
2:38
crossings at the southwest border hit a
2:40
record low in February only f only to
2:42
fall to another record low again last
2:44
month month in March president Trump
2:47
signed the Lake and Riley Act into law
2:49
requiring illegal aliens arrested or
2:51
charged with theft or violence to be
2:53
detained and he reestablished the
2:55
successful remain in Mexico policy from
2:57
his first term the president has also
2:59
restarted construction of his signature
3:01
border wall more than 85 miles have been
3:04
built and are in various stages of
3:06
construction and planning he designate
3:08
designated cartels as foreign terrorist
3:10
organizations invoked the alien enemies
3:12
act to apprehend detain and remove these
3:14
massive threats who have flooded our
3:16
country and the Trump administration as
3:18
you heard from our border zar Tom Hman
3:20
earlier today is working literally 24/7
3:24
around the clock to successfully arrest
3:27
and deport illegal criminals and foreign
3:29
terrorists from our communities your
3:31
communities we’re in the be beginning
3:34
stages of carrying out the largest
3:36
deportation campaign in American history
3:38
and despite the legacy media’s
3:40
fear-mongering and lies about this we
3:42
will continue with these successful
3:43
operations because we know that’s what
3:45
the American people are expecting from
3:47
this president and that’s why they
3:48
overwhelmingly reelected him to this
3:50
office over the past weekend it was
3:52
announced Operation Title Wave was a
3:54
joint effort in ICE Miami and Florida
3:56
law enforcement agencies nearly 800
3:59
illegal aliens were arrested during the
4:01
four first four days alone i don’t know
4:03
if we have any Flidians in here but
4:05
you’re welcome operation Title Wave is a
4:07
preview as of what is to come around the
4:09
country largecale operations employing
4:12
our state and local law enforcement
4:13
partners to get criminal aliens off our
4:16
streets and we will not apologize for
4:18
this this is the first of its kind
4:20
multi- agency immigration enforcement
4:22
operation coordinated by ICE with
4:24
federal partners and this multi-day
4:26
operation has so far resulted in nearly
4:29
800 illegal aliens apprehended in four
4:32
days including MS-13 murderers rapists
4:35
drug traffickers and human rights abuses
4:37
so safe to say President Trump made a
4:39
promise to all of you your audiences and
4:41
the American public to secure our
4:42
nation’s borders he has overwhelmingly
4:44
delivered on that promise and you will
4:46
see the legacy media has nitpicked
4:48
stories to try to drum up sympathy for
4:51
people who broke our nation’s laws uh
4:53
this White House has sympathy for
4:55
American citizens for law- abiding
4:57
families who are doing what’s right who
5:00
are came here the right way that’s
5:01
includes legal immigrants who have come
5:03
to this country paid their dues waited
5:05
their turn and are now being cheated and
5:07
ripped off by or were being cheated and
5:10
ripped off by the previous
5:11
administration we are putting Americans
5:12
first every day and we applaud the ICE
5:15
agents and border patrol agents who are
5:16
on the ground doing this important work
5:18
that’s just the border of course the
5:20
president has been working incredibly
5:21
hard to unleash the might of our economy
5:24
here at home he’s uh in the process of
5:26
negotiating trade fair trade deals
5:28
abroad with many countries around the
5:31
world who have come to the table because
5:32
the president is using the leverage of
5:34
this office of the United States of
5:36
America to leverage um our economic
5:39
might and to cut good trade deals you
5:41
also look at what’s happening on the
5:43
foreign on the on the world stage when
5:45
it comes to foreign policy the president
5:47
has put the world on notice they all
5:49
understand that we have a
5:50
commander-in-chief in the Oval Office
5:51
who is going to put America and our
5:53
troops first who’s going to do what’s
5:55
right for our country our nation our
5:57
people even if that means making tough
5:59
decisions and we are closer today to a
6:02
peace deal in Russia and Ukraine
6:03
certainly than we were when we took
6:05
office on January 20th if you look at
6:07
the situation in the Middle East uh
6:09
Israel has never had a stronger friend
6:10
than they do right now in the Oval
6:12
Office with President Trump we’ve had
6:14
more than 75 hostages who have returned
6:16
home from around the world or wrongfully
6:18
detained individuals you can only do
6:20
that if you have a president who’s
6:21
unafraid to use the leverage of the
6:23
United States so there are many
6:25
accomplishments to talk about this week
6:27
i haven’t even mentioned the restoring
6:29
common sense effort of this
6:30
administration to get men out of women’s
6:32
sports to root out DEI and waste fraud
6:35
and abuse from our federal bureaucracy
6:37
the president has done so much in such
6:39
little time and we’re working very hard
6:41
here every day we appreciate all that
6:43
you do on social media um to push what
6:46
the president is saying but also
6:47
sometimes question it and that and we
6:49
relish independent journalism um and I
6:51
hope you all have seen the president
6:53
myself anybody in this administration we
6:55
are unafraid to take questions this has
6:57
truly been the most transparent and
6:59
accessible presidency in American
7:01
history so with that let’s kick it off
7:03
and I’m happy to take your question
7:04
first aaron thank you so much Caroline
7:06
both for having us and for granting me
7:08
the first question here sure uh and I
7:10
can attest to the deportations in
7:11
Florida my Uber drivers finally speak
7:13
English again so thank you for that but
7:15
my my question for you is uh what are
7:17
the administration’s plans for those who
7:19
continue to defy the executive orders
7:21
most notably on my mind are the ones
7:22
related to what some would call transmen
7:25
I would call men mas trans women which
7:27
are men masquerading as girls in sports
7:30
sure um obey federal law or you will be
7:34
prosecuted obey federal law and you
7:36
could see your cut federal funding cut
7:38
whether you are a college or a
7:39
university we have seen the president
7:42
again using the leverage of this
7:44
administration and um to negotiate deals
7:47
with some of the biggest colleges and
7:48
universities in this country and if they
7:50
don’t want to come to the negotiating
7:52
table to apologize for the federal laws
7:54
they have broken to apologize for
7:56
allowing Jewish American students on our
7:58
nation’s campuses to be unlawfully
8:00
bullied and harassed um then there’s
8:02
going to be consequences for that
8:04
illegal behavior same thing with men in
8:06
women’s sports the president signed a
8:08
very strong executive order making it
8:10
the policy of the United States federal
8:12
government that there are only two sexes
8:14
male and female and we are not going to
8:16
tolerate biological men competing in
8:18
sports or impeding in private spaces for
8:21
women like myself or you and we’ve seen
8:24
states defy this federal order you’ve
8:25
seen the state of Maine unfortunately
8:28
because of their liberal governor who
8:30
nobody in that state disagrees with i
8:32
will add being from New England i can
8:33
attest to that people are incredibly fed
8:36
up with her trying to oppose this common
8:38
sense message you’ve seen young women
8:40
who have had to go on television to
8:42
plead with their governor please stop
8:44
letting men play against me in sports we
8:46
shouldn’t live in a country where that
8:48
even has to happen the president deeply
8:50
understands that that’s why he signed
8:51
that EO and when Maine decided not to
8:54
follow it the Department of Justice sued
8:56
them so anyone who disobys federal law
8:59
will be either prosecuted sued or say
9:02
goodbye to your federal funding sure how
9:05
about to the back in the red tie
9:08
hi um one of my main questions is when
9:12
will the border wall be completed
9:13
because it’s been talked about for a
9:15
very long time and a lot of people want
9:16
to know when can we expect that to be
9:18
done sure i don’t have an official
9:21
timeline for you but certainly it’s a
9:23
priority of the administration the
9:25
president has talked about this for
9:26
years right it was his signature
9:28
campaign promise dating back to 2016
9:30
people laughed at him when he originally
9:33
brought this idea up but now the whole
9:34
world recognizes a border wall is
9:36
effective uh it’s a necessary means to
9:39
secure your nation’s territorial borders
9:42
democrats like to have borders outside
9:44
of their homes or walls outside of their
9:45
homes for a reason because they know it
9:47
repels invaders and that’s why the
9:49
president wants to do that at the
9:50
southern border there has been more than
9:52
85 miles built just since January 20th
9:54
it’s obviously the goal of this
9:56
administration to build as much border
9:58
wall as we possibly can and we need
10:00
Congress’s help to do that we need more
10:01
federal funding president’s working
10:03
closely with Speaker Johnson and Senate
10:05
Majority Leader Thun um to pass a solid
10:08
reconciliation package that um not only
10:11
provides more funding for um our ICE
10:14
agents and border patrol agents on the
10:16
ground but to continue construction of
10:18
that border wall as well sure go ahead
10:21
madame Ne uh congratulations on this
10:24
endeavor to bring in new media and can I
10:26
start by thanking you for including the
10:28
British and deeply proud to be the only
10:32
uh British representative here i hope
10:34
future events you might include more
10:36
thank you uh I’ve got two questions if I
10:38
be maybe so bold uh regarding my little
10:41
old country across the pond uh first and
10:44
foremost uh it’s regarding trade uh
10:46
deals so your vice president vice
10:49
president Barn said no free speech no
10:52
deal the British uh business secretary
10:57
whose name is Jonathan Reynolds has said
10:59
that in the trade talks with the
11:01
commerce department the US commerce
11:03
department there has been no material
11:06
uh that free speech has been not a
11:08
material factor in negotiations so my
11:11
first question is is it the case that
11:13
free speech is no longer part of
11:15
negotiations and my second question if I
11:17
may is uh in Britain we have had over a
11:21
quarter quarter of a million people um
11:24
issued non-rime hate incidents uh as we
11:27
speak there are people in prison for
11:29
quite literally reposting memes uh we
11:32
have extensive uh prison sentences and
11:35
uh for for uh tweets social media posts
11:39
and uh general free speech issues would
11:43
the Trump administration consider
11:46
political asylum for British citizens in
11:49
such a situation well to your latter
11:51
question it’s a very good one i have not
11:53
heard that proposed to the president nor
11:55
have I spoken to him about that idea but
11:57
I certainly can and talk to our national
11:59
security team and see if it’s something
12:01
the administration would entertain yes
12:03
please to your first question about free
12:05
speech in the United Kingdom the vice
12:07
president has been incredibly outspoken
12:08
about this for good reason and the
12:11
president has spoken about this as well
12:12
directly with your prime minister when
12:14
he was here for a visit to the White
12:16
House so it remains a critical endeavor
12:18
of ours to uh show the Brits and your
12:21
your country which we love and admire um
12:24
about the first amendment and and the
12:26
importance of free speech in a sovereign
12:28
nation uh as for the trade talks I
12:31
understand they are moving in a very
12:32
positive way with the United Kingdom i
12:35
don’t want to get ahead of the president
12:36
or our trade team and how those
12:38
negotiations are going but I have heard
12:40
they’ve been very positive and
12:41
productive with the United Kingdom and I
12:44
will say the president always both
12:47
publicly and privately speaks incredibly
12:49
highly of your country he has a good
12:51
relationship with your prime minister
12:52
though they disagree on uh domestic
12:55
policy issues um I’ve witnessed the
12:57
camaraderie between them firsthand in
12:59
the Oval Office and there is a deep
13:01
mutual respect between our two countries
13:03
um that certainly the president upholds
13:06
you’re welcome mr spicer it’s good to
13:08
see you here my predecessor yeah well
13:11
you know had to swing by uh thank you
13:14
for doing this i think it’s marvelous
13:16
what you guys have done to bring in new
13:17
voices and it’s it shows it reflects the
13:20
president’s commitment to transparency
13:22
and to bring this in so I’ve got two
13:23
quick ones for you uh the first is you
13:25
mentioned reconciliation beyond that and
13:28
what he hopes to get out of that
13:29
considering how slim the House majority
13:31
is what other legislative priorities
13:34
does he want to see codified in law
13:36
before this Congress adjourns it’s a
13:38
really good question Sean i think
13:40
reconciliation is the first and foremost
13:43
question on the president’s mind right
13:45
now it’s a huge deal we have to get it
13:47
done he’s working closely with Congress
13:49
in fact he’s meeting with Speaker
13:50
Johnson I think in a few minutes today
13:52
in the Oval Office to discuss uh this
13:54
very bill and measure aside from
13:56
reconciliation which we hope and are
13:58
very confident will include more funding
14:01
for border wall construction and mass
14:03
deportations as I mentioned earlier but
14:06
it’s also very important that we get tax
14:08
cuts passed that is the second step in
14:10
the Trump economic agenda the president
14:12
has used every executive lever he can to
14:15
slash burdensome regulation and we
14:17
continue to do that every day across
14:18
every agency administrator Zeldon is
14:21
doing a fantastic job at the EPA I may
14:23
add but every cabinet secretary is
14:25
taking getting rid of regulation very
14:27
seriously president is um certainly
14:30
working on unleashing American energy to
14:32
drive down costs but tax cuts are a
14:34
critical component of really seeing the
14:36
Trump economic formula be put together
14:39
um so he wants to see tax cuts passed in
14:42
this reconciliation package that
14:43
includes no tax on tips no tax on social
14:45
security no tax on overtime um no tax on
14:49
social security for our seniors of
14:50
course too um as for other measures that
14:52
would be codified into law um certainly
14:54
we’ve seen the president put forth
14:56
common sense executive orders and take
14:59
really common sense executive action
15:01
that we would love Congress to take
15:03
further action on to ensure that the
15:05
president’s executive actions can remain
15:06
long after his tenure so you don’t have
15:08
another president come in here in eight
15:10
years uh and um undo some of the
15:13
executive work the president has worked
15:14
so hard on so um we want Congress to
15:17
continue getting to work but we got to
15:18
get this reconciliation pass bill passed
15:21
first thank you the second thing I have
15:22
is just a question I get a lot and I
15:24
figured I’ best addressed to you the
15:26
you’ve done a phenomenal job opening up
15:28
the briefing room bringing in new voices
15:30
the president’s commitment during the
15:31
campaign to do long form podcasts was I
15:34
think extremely helpful to to this new
15:37
media environment that we live in but a
15:39
lot of conservatives will ask me why
15:40
does he sit down with people like Terry
15:42
Moran of ABC or Jeffrey Goldberg of The
15:45
Atlantic what what is the rationale
15:47
behind that rewarding people who have
15:50
very vehemently expressed disdain for
15:52
him personally because the president is
15:55
unafraid and he is inspired by
15:58
competition and he likes to talk to
16:01
people face to face and I think that’s
16:03
one of his best attributes and qualities
16:05
we live in an incredibly divisive
16:07
country unfortunately that has been
16:10
really the result and consequence
16:11
frankly of the fake news and the hoaxes
16:14
and lies they have driven at this
16:16
president for the better part of the
16:19
last decade now but the fact that we
16:20
still have a president who has been a
16:23
victim of these hoaxes these lies these
16:25
smears by so many legacy media outlets
16:27
and reporters yet he’s still willing to
16:29
sit down with them look them in the eye
16:31
look them face to face and take them to
16:33
task and share the truth with them and
16:36
his perspective I think is what the
16:37
American people deserve in a president
16:39
and it’s certainly a stark contrast to
16:41
what we had in the previous
16:43
administration a president who was
16:45
hiding um who actually used this this
16:48
beautiful South Court auditorium which
16:49
we’re happy to be in today but he used
16:51
this like it was a fake Oval Office
16:53
weirdly oddly uh he was missing an
16:56
action he called lids at 2:00 in the
16:59
afternoon for those who don’t know a lid
17:00
is when we tell the press to go home for
17:02
the night um and he was doing that
17:04
midday that is not acceptable around
17:06
here i will tell you we’re working very
17:08
early through uh the very late hours of
17:10
the night and the president’s willing to
17:12
to talk to anyone not just journalists
17:15
uh who have really been posing as
17:18
journalists but are actually leftwing
17:19
activists but also if you look at our
17:21
adversaries and our our competition
17:23
abroad on on a foreign policy scale you
17:25
know well in the first term he went to
17:27
North Korea um he talked to Putin
17:29
directly he talked to President Xi
17:31
directly the president believes in
17:33
direct diplomacy whether it is our
17:35
adversaries in compet competitors around
17:37
the world or left-wing activists like
17:39
Jeffrey Goldberg sure uh first of all
17:43
thank you for having us today it’s a
17:44
pleasure to be here um you mentioned
17:46
obviously it’s no secret America’s been
17:48
Israel’s strongest friend greatest ally
17:51
um unfortunately as you know Idan
17:53
Alexander is still being held in Gaza
17:54
he’s both an American and an Israeli
17:56
citizen last we heard allegedly Hamas
17:59
has lost all communication with him and
18:01
I was wondering if there’s been any
18:02
update in terms of getting Idan home
18:04
sure uh first of all the reports last
18:07
week were from Hamas media and so we uh
18:11
always take that of course with a grain
18:13
of salt we do our own verification on
18:16
those reports i talked to the National
18:17
Security Council about Eden Alexander
18:19
last week as this is obviously a
18:21
priority for the administration and all
18:23
I can tell you is that I can assure you
18:25
that the special envoy WhitF Adam Bowler
18:28
who’s been leading some of our hostage
18:30
negotiations Mike Waltz the entire
18:32
national security team um finding him
18:34
and bringing him home is a priority for
18:36
this administration and they continue to
18:38
work very hard on that every day thank
18:40
you you’re welcome Chad
18:42
first of all thank you for the
18:44
hospitality always open and welcome and
18:45
thank you for the access and I’ll say to
18:47
you again for everyone what I said to
18:49
you a few weeks ago when we were here i
18:51
said it’s so refreshing to have a press
18:53
secretary after the last few years who’s
18:55
both intelligent and articulate so thank
18:57
you for that uh I think a lot of people
19:00
would be curious to know if we have any
19:01
details of what the private conversation
19:03
between Vladimir Zillinsky and the
19:04
president was there at the Vatican i
19:06
imagine that we don’t know at this stage
19:08
in the game but more specifically uh
19:10
back to the border issue the that the
19:11
the DOJ stated on Friday that they were
19:14
floating the idea of potentially
19:16
subpoenaing journalists for uh to get
19:19
access to whistleblowers we know the
19:20
last administration did not treat
19:22
whistleblowers very well uh there’s
19:25
numerous ones who uh although still
19:27
employed by the FBI or the DHS uh have
19:31
not received back pay and haven’t truly
19:33
they’ve been employed but they’re not
19:34
reinstated so I’m wondering if does this
19:36
administration have um you know do they
19:39
believe that we should reinstate the
19:40
whistleblower you know like agents
19:42
Garrett or Oil or friend or you know
19:44
Stevenson with DHS who blew the whistle
19:46
on the child trafficking involving the
19:48
cartels under Joe Biden he too has yet
19:51
to be brought back do we have a position
19:52
on that sure well for each individual
19:55
agency secretaries uh of those agencies
19:58
obviously have difference over who they
19:59
hire who they fire who they promote i
20:02
can tell you certainly the president um
20:04
commends anyone who steps out and speaks
20:06
the truth especially against um the
20:10
malpractice that we saw over the last
20:12
four years under the previous
20:13
administration i can speak to the two
20:15
cases at the Treasury Department the two
20:17
whistleblowers there who blew the
20:18
whistle on the Hunter Biden tax fraud
20:20
case have been promoted by Secretary
20:22
Bessant so certainly we commend anyone
20:24
who has the courage to step up and speak
20:26
the truth and as for those who
20:28
unfortunately try to to leak especially
20:30
classified information to the legacy
20:32
media to put our troops in harm’s way
20:35
our law enforcement officials at law
20:37
harm’s way leaks like that will not be
20:39
tolerated uh but those who are seeking
20:42
to protect um the truth will certainly
20:44
be commended and applauded for that sure
20:48
rogan go ahead hi Caroline good to see
20:49
you again great to see you as well great
20:51
job this morning and as always you’re
20:53
really crushing it uh my question is
20:55
about the Epstein files and a couple
20:58
months ago uh the DOJ released what they
21:01
called phase one of the Epstein files
21:04
and they announced that a lot of those
21:06
files the remaining files probably the
21:09
bulk of the files are actually in the
21:10
New York field office they requested
21:13
that they be returned the day after and
21:16
uh some uh legacy media reports show
21:19
that not only were those files returned
21:21
to the DOJ but that hundreds of FBI
21:24
agents are going through them day after
21:27
day and getting them ready for public
21:29
release do you have any updates from the
21:31
DOJ or the FBI on when those files are
21:34
expected to be released and also uh when
21:37
we might start seeing some arrests of
21:38
the client list sure um I can assure you
21:42
that the attorney general and her team
21:43
at the Department of Justice are working
21:45
on this diligently for a specific
21:47
timeline I’d have to check in with them
21:49
um and we can certainly do that for you
21:51
Rogan in the effort of transparency but
21:53
I will tell you the attorney general is
21:56
a bulldog she is someone you want on
21:58
your team and when she wants to get
22:00
something done she gets it done i’ve
22:02
seen her do it in various instances
22:04
already in her time as attorney general
22:06
and when she makes a promise she keeps
22:08
it um so I I think uh I don’t have a
22:11
specific timeline on you for that but I
22:12
do know that they’re working on it over
22:14
there thank you sure go ahead thank you
22:16
for having us here um I’ve noticed um
22:18
this is kind of like a repeat of 2016
22:20
the legacy media has gone back to not
22:23
reporting anything on President Trump in
22:25
the beginning we had them reporting um
22:27
everything that he was doing now they’re
22:29
kind of going back again to not
22:30
reporting everything that he is actually
22:32
doing um I’m kind of the nerd when it
22:35
comes to reporting um I’m not the
22:37
headline news girl i’m the nuts and
22:39
bolts i’m the policy type nerd so what
22:42
direction um do you advise kind of me to
22:44
go into um like the White House files
22:46
that y’all send out every single day um
22:48
because that’s what people are used to
22:50
when they want to ask me questions they
22:51
want to know kind of like the nuts and
22:52
bolts of everything um secondly I know
22:55
going into the first 100 days uh
22:57
Johnson’s meeting with President Trump
22:59
today um President Trump has issued a
23:01
lot of executive orders um what about
23:04
codifying is that going to be a a
23:06
conversation President Trump is going to
23:08
have with him about possibly a timeline
23:10
of just taking them from EOS um into
23:13
cottifying them into making them
23:15
permanent so we don’t have another
23:16
president that comes in possibly a
23:19
Democrat that completely overturns
23:21
everything that President Trump has done
23:23
yes as I spoke to to Sean’s um question
23:26
earlier absolutely we want Congress to
23:28
get to work first thing is the
23:30
reconciliation package like I said
23:32
border and tax cuts that’s on the
23:33
president’s mind but of course he wants
23:35
to see Congress move to codify all of
23:38
the incredible things and work that he’s
23:39
done via executive order to your first
23:41
question about the nuts and bolts I wish
23:43
more people in the legacy media were
23:45
like you and didn’t focus on the
23:47
sensationalist headlines but actually
23:49
cared about the facts the president is
23:51
doing so many phenomenal things every
23:52
day that will never be mentioned on
23:54
cable news at night signing executive
23:56
orders we are do our absolute best to
23:58
message that uh which is again why we’re
24:00
welcoming independent voices like yours
24:02
with following on social media because
24:04
that’s the best way to get those those
24:06
truths and those facts out there we put
24:08
out fact sheets on the daily about what
24:10
the president is signing and they do get
24:12
into the nuts and bolts of each and
24:14
every policy and each and every
24:16
executive action that he’s taking uh
24:18
he’s signing three uh phenomenal
24:20
executive orders today um I will share a
24:22
preview with those on on with you on
24:25
those one of them is an executive order
24:26
focused on um sanctuary cities it will
24:29
direct the attorney general Pam Bondi to
24:31
provide a list of sanctuary cities back
24:33
to the administration uh we will review
24:35
those if those sanctuary cities are
24:37
breaking federal law well then the
24:39
office of management and budget is going
24:40
to look at their federal spending again
24:42
if you’re defying federal law you are
24:44
threatening your own federal spending by
24:46
doing that um there is another executive
24:48
order the president will sign tonight we
24:49
can provide the fact sheet for you on
24:51
ensuring law and order and ensuring that
24:53
federal law enforcement and local law
24:54
enforcement can work together and
24:56
communicate more easily and then the
24:58
third executive order which actually
24:59
speaks to the heart of your question
25:00
earlier about the Uber drivers um will
25:03
be a u order directing the Department of
25:06
Transportation to include English
25:08
literacy tests for our truckers this is
25:10
a big problem in the trucking community
25:12
that unless you’re in that community you
25:13
might not know but there’s a lot of
25:15
communication problems between truckers
25:17
on the road um with federal officials
25:19
and local officials as well which
25:21
obviously is a public safety risk so
25:23
we’re going to ensure that our truckers
25:24
who are the backbone of our economy are
25:27
all able to speak English that’s a very
25:29
common sense policy in the United States
25:31
of America so the president will be
25:32
signing that later this afternoon yeah
25:34
you’re welcome to the back in the yellow
25:35
tie thank you Caroline president Trump
25:38
has recently made statements about
25:40
eliminating the federal income tax and
25:42
creating the external revenue service
25:45
when could we see that start to play out
25:47
well I will tell you this is something
25:49
the uh secretary of commerce and the
25:51
secretary of treasury are both equally
25:53
as excited about as is the president and
25:57
you know part of there’s many reasons
25:59
for the tariffs the president has
26:01
implemented and the trade deals that he
26:03
is currently negotiating number one we
26:05
need to shore up our critical supply
26:06
chains here at home number two uh we
26:09
need to increase our revenue here in the
26:11
United States we are running trillions
26:12
of dollars of deficits our country will
26:14
if we continue down this path
26:17
and so how great it would be uh for the
26:19
external revenue to completely replace
26:22
the internal revenue service uh so I
26:24
know the administration is focused on on
26:26
the external revenue service getting
26:28
that up and running and as you know
26:30
Customs and Border Protection is charged
26:31
with bringing in the money from tariffs
26:33
every day and they are bringing in
26:34
billions and billions of dollars per day
26:37
with the current tariff rates and where
26:39
they are at so we will continue with
26:40
that effort i think I went around the
26:42
room oh nope one more in the back all
26:44
good so we know President Trump has been
26:46
a champion for the 2A ever since he got
26:48
into office both times um my question is
26:51
do we see anything is there any ongoing
26:54
efforts for national reciprocity so we
26:55
can carry in all 50 beautiful states
26:58
this is something the president talked
27:00
about on the campaign trail for sure we
27:02
need Congress to do it but the president
27:04
will always support our law-abiding gun
27:06
owners and as you mentioned is a ardent
27:08
supporter of the Second Amendment it’s
27:10
more important now than ever as we see
27:13
violent crime rates in our inner cities
27:15
uh I’ve said this repeatedly over the
27:17
past four years the Second Amendment was
27:18
never more important than when we had an
27:21
illegal immigrant crime epidemic spiking
27:23
in this country um America law-abiding
27:26
Americans have a constitutional right to
27:28
defend themselves and the president
27:29
absolutely supports that but um to
27:31
national reciprocity we do need
27:32
Congress’s help on that one so thank you
27:35
guys it’s so good to see you i could go
27:37
around the room all day but
27:38
unfortunately there’s work to be done um
27:40
thank you for coming to our very first
27:42
influencer briefing to kick off the
27:44
first 100 days of the Trump White House
27:46
it’s great to see you all here and
27:47
thanks for what you do thank you
27:51
thank you i’m going to walk off now
